Would you perhaps consider publishing on line the first chapter of your book so that your readers can get a sense of the style and the story?
Each time Harry Sidebottom (one of my favourite authors) publishes a new book, he prints the first chapter of the next one at the end, which makes me go out and buy it as soon as it’s available.
